FNBC INVEST, Lda., a limited liability company duly registered and incorporated under Portuguese law, with headquarters at Rua do Arranjinho nº 321 D, 4750-803 Barcelos, with corporate entity number 516034871, code LEI 984500411DB76J14CE58, with main CAE 66110-R4 (and secondary CAEs 64190-R4, 64910-R4, and 70200-R4), hereby provides the following clarification:
The publications recently released by Banco de Portugal and CMVM lack any legal or other basis, as FNBC Invest does not engage in, nor has it ever engaged in, financing, credit granting, or investment raising activities. It therefore considers that these publications are the result of an unfounded complaint, which aims to damage the reputation of the company and the personal reputation of its CEO, in order to collude with the biggest Portuguese fraud, Novo Banco, SA (still with issues associated with the former Banco Espírito Santo, SA).
A lawsuit (No. 2723/25.2T8BRG) filed by FNBC Invest against Novo Banco, SA is pending, and the company intends to pursue all legal means at its disposal to ensure that the bank fulfills its obligations to FNBC Invest.
The amount in dispute refers to the sale of a German government debt security belonging to the group’s companies, and not to external investors. The assets in question correspond to:
– Capital: €5,000,000,000 (part of the sale price)
– Default interest and other amounts: €5,087,404,548.07
